Limavady man given suspended sentence for Benefit Fraud

A man was convicted at Limavady Magistrates’ Court today for claiming benefits he was not entitled to.

Richard Kealey (33) of Glenbank Walk, Limavady, claimed Jobseeker’s Allowance totalling £2,956 while failing to declare employment. He was given a six month prison sentence, suspended for three years.

He is also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Department for Communities.
