Man arrested and bailed after bite attack on Ballycastle Paramedic

1 Mins read

A man was arrested and released on bail last week for biting a Paramedic in Ballycastle.

Speaking about the incident, a spokesperson for the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said an Ambulance Crew had been attending a call to a house in Ballycastle where a man had been reported as unconscious. Upon arrival, the man became aggressive and bit one of the Paramedics.

NIAS spokesman John McPoland said: “This incident once again highlights the potential dangers faced by our crews when attending calls”.

“The paramedic has more than 20 years’ service, dedicated to the care of those who need our help.”

“It is disgraceful that we have witnessed yet another incident of this type.”
