Man charged with theft of lead from Portrush properties.

Police have arrested and charged a 28 year old man with theft after a report of lead having been stolen from properties in the Coleraine Road area of Portrush.

Inspector Donna Bowden said: “The man was arrested at around 1:30am this morning (Friday 09 October). A short time later police found a van found in Bushmills with lead inside. The man was later charged with theft.

“As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.”
