A 35 year old man has been charged with a number of offences including criminal damage, handling stolen goods and another 10 offences including cultivating cannabis and possessing a class B controlled drug with intent to supply. He is due to appear at Londonderry Magistrates Court on the morning of Friday 18 December.
As is normal procedure, all charges are reviewed by the PPS.
The charge follows a search at a house by the District Support Team in the Lansdowne Road area of Derry on the afternoon of Thursday 17 December where a cannabis factory was found. At this time it is believed that controlled drugs worth an estimated street value of £27,000 were seized.
