County Derry Sinn Féin Republican Youth will be holding their third AGM in Dungiven next Monday.
A spokesperson for the group said “We can feel the excitement from our membership about this AGM and the year ahead and the opportunities it holds. We had another successful year with many of our members taking part in various activities and our activist base growing in size yet again.”
“One of our main issues was the controversy around the Dungiven leisure centre project towards the end of 2015 which our members were very active on this and we were delighted to see the project finally given the green light last week.”
“On top of this we are excited to say the joint first minister, Martin McGuinness, and Sinn Féin assembly candidate Caoimhe Archibald will be in attendance, this is a major coup for us and shows how serious we are about the year ahead.”
“New members are welcome to join us in the Dungiven Sinn Féin office at 7pm on Monday 8th February for a meet and greet and the meeting will kick off ay 7.30. Speakers will include East Derry assembly candidate Caoimhe Archibald. There is always a place for new members in the largest and most active political group in the county.”
