Masked Men threaten Elderly Couple in Ballymoney Burglary

1 Mins read

Detectives in Coleraine are investigating the report of an aggravated burglary at a house at Lisnagat Road, Ballymoney, in the early hours of Monday 8th August.

Detective Sergeant Wallace said: “It was reported that two masked men, wearing dark clothing and armed with suspected firearms, forced entry to the house at around 1am. They threatened and tied up the two occupants, a man and woman both aged in their 70s, and then ransacked the house. The men left the house a short time later with a sum of money. Both occupants were left very badly shaken by their ordeal.

I would ask anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the Lisnagat Road area in recent days or anyone who has any information about this incident to contact detectives in Coleraine on 101 quoting reference 99 08/08/16 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
