1 Mins read

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for snow & ice, expected for this afternoon (Thursday 14th January).

The warning said: “Sleet and snow showers will become heavier and more frequent during Thursday afternoon, continuing overnight and well into Friday. These could bring accumulations of 1-4 cm at lower levels, with 5-10 cm on ground above 150 m, especially over northern areas. Icy stretches are also likely to form on untreated surfaces. Please be aware of some difficult driving conditions and the risk of travel disruption.”

There have already been some reports of snow and ice around the areas of Garvagh and Limavady
