A motion was put to CC&G Council’s Corporate & Policy committee on Tuesday night to support the introduction of an Air Ambulance to Northern Ireland.
The motion was jointly submitted by DUP Councillors James McCorkell and George Duddy, the motion was also seconded by Cllr Duddy.
After discussion, the motion was passed unanimously by the committee and will now be sent to full council for ratification. The matter will also be forwarded to the NI Executive’s Partnership Panel.
Cllr Duddy and Cllr McCorkell said “We would encourage everyone to sign the online petition calling for an Air Ambulance for Northern Ireland and are heartened by progress so far.”
