Motorcyclist sustains ‘life-changing’ injuries following RTC in Limavady

Police are appealing for information following a serious two vehicle rtc that occurred on the Ballyquin Road, Limavady, on the afternoon of Saturday 21 May.

Just before 2.45pm, police received a report of the rtc involving a car and a motorcycle. The motorcyclist, a man aged in his 40s, was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries which are described as serious and life changing. The driver of the car, a woman aged in her 20s, was taken to hospital for treatment for shock.

The Ballyquin Road was closed to traffic between Roemill Road and Glengiven Avenue. It reopened just before 11.30pm.

Constable Gregg Chambers said: “I would appeal to anyone who knows anything about this rtc to contact Limavady Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.”
