Following the appointment of Arlene Foster MLA as First Minister of Northern Ireland yesterday, one of her first tasks in the role is to appoint her replacement as Finance Minister.

It is expected that this will be the only change to the current line-up of Executive Ministers as Stormont will break up in March to prepare for the upcoming Assembly Elections in May.

The political editor of BBC News NI, Mark Devonport has suggested that the new First Minister may look to either Alistair Ross or Peter Weir to take this post.
