NIFRS Statement – incident, Creamery Road, Ballyrashane, Coleraine
A Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said:
“Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) are currently attending a report of an ammonia spill at premises at the Creamery Road, Ballyrashane area of Coleraine this morning (Monday 25th January).
“2 Fire Appliances from Coleraine Fire Station, one Fire Appliance from Portrush Fire Station, 2 Fire Appliances from Strabane Fire Station and one Fire Appliance from Ballymoney Fire Station were deployed to the scene. Firefighters have isolated a leak at the premises and there is no immediate risk to life or property. The premises has been evacuated and all persons inside the property have been accounted for.”
“The Creamery Road, Ballyrashane is currently closed in both directions and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
“There are no further details at this stage.”
