Firefighters were called this morning to tackle a house fire on the Foreglen Road in Dungiven.
An NIFRS Spokesperson said “Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) received a call at 7:30am to a report of a fire at a vacant residential premises at the Foreglen Road area of Dungiven this morning (Friday 15th January).
“2 Fire Appliances from Crescent Link Fire Station and one Fire Appliance from Dungiven Fire Station were deployed to the scene. Firefighters using thermal imaging cameras, 2 hosereel jets and 1 other jet dealt with a ground floor fire at a vacant detached bungalow in the area.
“Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service finished at the scene at 10:04am and the fire is being treated as deliberate. The incident has now been passed through to the Police Service of Northern Ireland.”
