NW200 cancelled due to fatal accident

Racing at the North West 200 was cancelled this afternoon due to a fatal incident.

The accident happened at Dhu Varren, Portrush, during the Supertwin race.

A statement issued by the organisers read  “Following an incident on the approach to Black Hill on the third lap of the SuperTwin race at today’s Vauxhall International North West 200 a competitor has passed away..
As a result racing has been brought to an end.”
