Ó hOisín to meet with Transport Minister to discuss Dungiven Bypass

1 Mins read

East Derry Sinn Féin MLA Cathal Ó hOisín has said that he is meeting with the Department for Regional Development Minister Michelle McIlveen on Tuesday around delivery on the A6 project with particular emphasis on the Dungiven Bypass aspect of it.

Mr. Ó hÓisín said ‘I and many others have welcomed the inclusion of the A6 in the recent budget announcements, and the putting in place of a timeframe, but there are still questions regarding delivery.

That said, it is heartening to know that the Moneynick section is first at £140m and Dungiven next at £61m. This has been long awaited and the fact that diggers will be on the ground this summer for phase one is the best of news.’
