O’hOisin welcomes Ballyquin road work commencement

1 Mins read

East Derry Sinn Féin MLA Cathal Ó hOisín has welcomed the commencement of
improvement works including realignment, widening and resurfacing of the
B68 Ballyquin road at Inisconagher between Dungiven and Limavady.

He said ‘that this stretch of road is poor, and long overdue remedy. There will be
some inconvenience for the next 8 weeks with diversions in place but I hope
that it will be worth it, but I will also write to the new Minister to
highlight the corner on the Ballyquin road which was due for re-alignment
some years ago and which has been the the scene of five  fatalities of
young men,in recent times.

The Ballyquin Road has seen many tragedies, but
this particular corner must be a priority.
