Paramedic attacked by patient in Ballymoney

1 Mins read

A Paramedic was attacked by a patient during the early hours of Sunday morning in the Ballybogey Road area of Ballymoney.

The patient was reportedly being treated for a head injury when he punched and bit the paramedic who was tending to his injury. The Ambulance Crew member was assessed at Coleraine’s Causeway Hospital after the incident and was subsequently removed from duty.

This also resulted in the Ballycastle area relying on cover from Ambulance Crews from other areas.
