Police are currently at the scene of an incident in the Portstewart Road area of Portrush.

Traffic around the Metropole and Portstewart Road area of the town is currently slower than usual.

A PSNI spokesman told Causeway Coast Community the following:

“Police are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the report of an incident in the Portstewart Road are of Portrush overnight last night, Saturday 02 August.

The enquiry is at a very early stage and there are no further details available at this time.”
