Police aware of “organised fight” between teenage youths in Coleraine

1 Mins read

Police have been made aware of an incident involving what is alleged to have been an ‘organised fight’ between teenage youths in Coleraine and are investigating.

Inspector Donna Bowden, of Coleraine Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Where offences are identified, we will take appropriate action

“It is totally deplorable that incidents such as this should occur, and that some people seem to get some sense of gratification out of witnessing them.

“There is an onus on parents, schools and responsible adults to ensure organised fights do not occur. We would encourage anyone who becomes aware of plans for fights to let us know – before someone is badly injured.”
