Police have arrested a man and recovered cannabis following the search of a house at Bridge Street in Kilrea on Saturday 27th February.

Inspector Pete Duncan said, “The search commenced at around 11.30pm on Saturday night and around 20 cannabis plants, a quantity of herbal cannabis and equipment used in the cultivation of cannabis were recovered. A man aged 24 was arrested at the scene on suspicion of a number of drugs related offences. He is currently in custody helping officers with their enquiries.”

Information on the use or supply of illegal drugs should be given to police on 101 or anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
