Police are appealing for information following an incident of animal cruelty that occurred in the Limavady area.
On the evening of Monday 30 May, a cat returned to its home in the Meadowvale Park area with an wound to its face. The cat was taken to the vets and following examination it is believed that the cat may have been shot by an air rifle.
Constable Reilly said: “I would ask anyone who knows anything about this incident of animal cruelty to contact Limavady Police Station on then on-emergency number 101. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
