Police are issuing a more up-to-date photo of missing person, 66 year old Norman Galbraith, who was last seen at his home at Queens Avenue, Ballymoney, on the evening of Friday 31 July.
Detective Inspector Alan Pyper said: “A wallet belonging to Mr Galbraith was also found last night on the Burnquarter Road, outside of Ballymoney, therefore I would ask anyone who believes that they may have seen this man in that area since Friday evening to please contact local police on the 101 number, giving the reference number 1123 of 1 August. As well, police are currently making enquiries into a possible sighting on Saturday 2 August in the Coleraine area.
“Mr Galbraith is described as being of a small, thin build with grey hair. When last seen he was wearing a navy fleece, navy tracksuit bottoms and black shoes. He normally takes medication for high blood pressure and is thought to have injured his head in an unrelated incident several days before he was last seen.
“Mr Galbraith is originally from the Castlerock area. Again I would ask anyone in the Ballymoney area, Coleraine area, Castlerock area or anywhere nearby to check any outbuildings or sheds in case Mr Galbraith sought shelter in them.”
