1 Mins read

Police are asking people to remember to take some simple crime prevention steps after a report of suspicious activity around an ATM in Articlave.

We all use ATMs as part of everyday life, often in a hurry. Please consider the following tips to make sure your transactions are as safe as possible:

  • cover the keypad with your hand when entering your PIN number.
  • be aware of your surroundings. If you are talking on the phone or wearing head phones you may not be aware of your surroundings.
  • if someone tries to distract you of you are unsure if the transaction, just cancel it.
  • do not be complacent, a crime can happen around a busy ATM or in a quieter place.

Please report any suspicious activity around ATM to police as soon as possible. Visit our website for more crime prevention advice: http://ow.ly/UHlkO
