Police seeking witnesses to assault on Riverside Park East, Coleraine

Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault on Riverside Park East in Coleraine on the evening of Sunday 24 April.

It was reported that at around 7.30pm an altercation took place between the drivers of two cars on Riverside Park East close to two fast food outlets. A 19 year old male driver of one of the vehicles sustained a suspected broken nose and bruising to his face as a result of the altercation. A 20 year old male was arrested on suspicion of a number of offences and subsequently released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Constable Kirk is appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone who has any information that can assist with the investigation to contact Officers at Coleraine Police Station on 101. Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
