A Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) received a call at 4:12am to a report of a fire at residential premises at the Upper Heathmount area of Portstewart in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday 30th September).
An NIFRS Spokesperson said:
“2 Fire Appliances from Portstewart Fire Station and one Fire Appliance from Portrush Fire Station were deployed to the scene of a fire at a semi-detached house in the area. Firefighters dealt with the fire, but no one was believed to be in the house at the time of the incident.
“Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service finished at 4:52am and the fire is being treated as a deliberate fire. The incident has been passed through to the Police Service of Northern Ireland.”
