Red Ensign to fly in Ballycastle and Limavady.

1 Mins read

Following another U-Turn by Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council, the Red Ensign of the Merchant Navy will fly from Council Offices in Limavady as well as Ballycastle Harbour today in celebration of Merchant Navy Day.

The Council had opted yesterday not to fly the flag in either Ballycastle or Limavady following a legal challenge by Independent Republican Councillor Padraig McShane.

Cllr McShane’s challenge has been dismissed by Council and the Red Ensign will now fly in all 4 towns.
