SDLP see growth in North Antrim

1 Mins read

SDLP North Antrim representative Connor Duncan has congratulated party activists for growing SDLP support in North Antrim where he had been running as a candidate during the Assembly Election.

Following his campaign, Connor Duncan expressed his gratitude to the people who voted for him on Thursday and those involved in his campaign.

He said, “I was greatly encouraged by this election campaign where we increased the SDLP vote in North Antrim from last year’s Westminster election. But more impressive for me was the energy and enthusiasm of SDLP activists on the ground.

“Our team was full of fresh faces who are hungry to see change in North Antrim. Throughout this campaign their support has been invaluable and a constant source of inspiration and pride for me.

“I would like to thank the thousands of people who put their trust in me at the polls and the team who helped me get this far. While we have not been successful this time, I am confident that with this new team in North Antrim and with a new revitalized team at Stormont led by Colum Eastwood, our party will see more growth and more electoral success in the future.”
