Second day of counting gets underway

As the second day of counting gets underway, two candidates have deemed elected in East Londonderry while three have been deemed elected in North Antrim.

In East Londonderry, the DUP’s Maurice Bradley topped the poll, closely followed by party colleague George Robinson. Both were elected in the fourth stage of counting.

In North Antrim, TUV Leader Jim Allister topped the poll to be deemed elected in the 7th stage of counting. Followed by the DUP’s Mervyn Storey who was elected in stage 8 and Paul Frew who was elected in stage 9.

Counting will continue this morning with all seats in East Londonderry expected to be filled by this afternoon.
