Sinn Féin welcome Limavady drugs seizure

1 Mins read

Sinn Féin councillor and local PCSP member Brenda Chivers has welcomed the seizure of a significant amount of Cannabis plants in Limavady.

Cllr. Chivers said “I am pleased that this factory has been put out of operation and arrests have been made, the people who sell these drugs have no consideration for the impact it is having on the people who use them and their families. I would appeal to anyone with any information to bring it to the police so they can continue to protect our communities from the scourge of drugs.”

Her party colleague Cathal Ó hOisín MLA added “While this successful seizure is to be welcomed it is also important to care for those who are addicted to various drugs by providing funding for the various groups who are working hard to help these people get their lives back on track.”
