SLIDE ‘N’ FLY Coming to Coleraine?

1 Mins read

Over the past number of weeks, events have been popping up on Facebook for Towns and Cities across the UK, advertising a “SLIDE ‘N’ FLY” event, which quite simply consists of people riding a large water slide and “flying” into a large pool.

Now, this sounds like a fun event, but, unfortunately, details are rather scarce…..including those of the organiser, indeed, the only details available about these events are the name, the town / city it’s to be held in, the date, (29th August) and the attractive “free admission”.

However, with so many events of these events happening on the same day, across the entire UK and even the Republic of Ireland, including Belfast, Dublin, Edinburgh, Birmingham, London, it looks too good to be true.

Indeed it bares striking similarity to the Outdoor Cinema data scam, in which thousands of people registered their interest in going to the event, giving out their personal details in the process.

With the company behind this event not actually existing, identical events happening in towns and cities across the British Isles on the same day and with a lack of any other details, it is quite clear that these events have been created for the purpose of gathering data and nothing more.

So, unfortunately, there will be no giant water-slide in Coleraine on August 29th.
