Stormont votes against changes to Abortion Law

MLAs at Stormont tonight have voted against implementing changes to to the law in Northern Ireland to permit abortions in cases of Fatal Foetal Abnormality.

The DUP and SDLP voted against the bill, as well as a number MLAs from the UUP while Sinn Fein and Alliance voted in favour.

The vote was lost by a majority of 59 for and 40 against with 2 abstentions.
