1 Mins read

The Ballycastle man, Barry Lyttle who was charged with and pleaded guilty to recklessly causing Grievous Bodily Harm to his brother Patrick after punching him outside of a nightclub in Sydney Australia has been handed a 13 month suspended sentence.

The brothers were in Australia on holiday when they got in to an argument outside of a nightclub and Barry punched his younger brother, causing him to hit his head off the ground and fall in to a coma. Patrick has since made a full recovery and had said he wanted the charges against his brother dropped.

The decision means that the Lyttle family can now return home to Northern Ireland.
