Prime Minister David Cameron and his Conservative government have pledged to de-criminalise non payment of the BBC Licence Fee.

This move will save up to 300,000 people a year from facing a criminal record.

The move comes ahead of the review of the BBC’s Royal Charter which will take place next year and outline the future of the £145.00 annual fee.
