Episode nine, season six, of Game of Thrones® aired last night which means that a ninth Tourism Ireland ‘Door of Thrones’ has been unveiled – this week in the Ballygally Castle Hotel, near the filming location of Cairncastle.

A spokesperson for Tourism Ireland said : “This week’s door is the penultimate in our campaign created in partnership with HBO and features striking designs honouring the Starks and Boltons.

And, the ninth limited edition Game of Thrones® stamp, produced in conjunction with the Royal Mail, has also been unveiled.

The stellar popularity of Game of Thrones® presents a fantastic opportunity for Tourism Ireland to promote Northern Ireland. Our campaign has been bringing the destination to the attention of fans of the fantasy drama everywhere – spiking their curiosity about the landscapes and locations featured in the series and inspiring them to come and explore them for themselves.

Watch out for Tourism Ireland’s final ‘Door of Thrones’ which will be revealed next week, bringing to ten the number of doors in restaurants, pubs and other venues near Game of Thrones® filming locations across Northern Ireland.”
