Trailer airs for Colin Howell and Hazel Stewart drama

A trailer for upcoming TV Drama, The Secret aired on ITV over the weekend.

The Secret will tell the story of Castlerock Dentist Colin Howell and his lover Hazel Stewart who murdered their spouses in 1991.

James Nesbitt will play the role of Colin Howell, while Genevieve O’Reilly will play Hazel Stewart.

According to the Belfast Telegraph, one scene shows Howell singing and preaching from a pulpit while in another he can be seen talking to Stewart about the removal of the bodies.

The drama is based on the book ‘Let This Be Our Secret’ written by Deric Henderson, former Ireland Editor for the Press Association.

Filming for the drama took place in a number of locations including Greencastle and Castlerock.

Broadcastnow writes that the first episode of the three part drama is set to air on Saturday 23rd April 2016.
