Translink increase train capacity after local users complain of Cramped Conditions

1 Mins read

Commuters took to Social Media this morning to complain about the cramped conditions on the train from Derry/Londonderry – Belfast.

Rail users complained that the train normally had six carriages but today only had 3, resulting in terribly cramped conditions and people being “unable to move.”

Following on from these complaints, we contacted Translink and a spokesperson for the company told us : “These trains usually have 3 carriages and there was unprecedented demand this morning. As a result we have enhanced the capacity for returning passengers this evening and for those travelling over the weekend.”
