Travellers in Garvagh issued with Notice to Move by Council

A number of residents from Garvagh have complained to councillors after members of the travelling community camped up at Bridge Street Car Park in Garvagh overnight.

Commenting on the complaints, Councillor William McCandless said :  “This morning I had been notified by residents from the Garvagh area referring to people from the travelling community camping at Bridge Street car park.”

“Council Directors were notified and council officers are issuing notice to move under Article 3 of unauthorised camping. This notification takes effect in 24 hours. ”
