Two arrested after Police find Cannabis Factory in Waterside, Derry / Londonderry

A man and woman have been arrested following the find of a cannabis factory in the Waterside area of Derry/Londonderry on the evening of Friday 5 February.

Police carried out a proactive search at a house in the area just after 9pm and a cannabis factory with around 35 plants was found in the attic.

Inspector Rosemary Thompson said: “A 31 year old man and 34 year old woman have been arrested on suspicion of possession of a class B controlled drug, possession of a class B controlled drug with intent to supply, cultivating cannabis and being concerned in the supply of a class B controlled drug. Both currently remain in custody assisting police with their enquiries.”
