Two In Coleraine Court – Theft Of A Fire Engine

Detectives investigating the theft of a fire appliance from Larne in the early hours of Saturday, 5 March have charged two men with a number of offences.

A 19 year old man faces charges including burglary and dangerous driving.

A 66 year old man has been charged with five offences including burglary and aggravated vehicle taking causing damage to property.

Both men are due to appear at Coleraine Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Monday, 7 March.

As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.

These charges relate to an incident in Larne when a fire appliance was taken from a local fire station and damage was caused to vehicles and property.
