A delegation from the Ulster Unionist Party attended a meeting in the Four Seasons care home in Garvagh tonight which is set to close in the near future.
Robin Swann MLA, Cllr William McCandless and Cllr Darryl Wilson had the opportunity to raise a number of issues with the NHSCT and representatives from Four seasons.
Cllr McCandless said:
“Our primary concern is the wellbeing of the elderly residents , and to ensure that adequate arrangements are put in place by the trust and four seasons to ensure that all residents find new accommodation which best suits their needs.”
“We have also raised concerns surrounding the staff situation. We will be monitoring the situation from this point on and will do all within our power to support residents and staff alike during this difficult time. “
