Wilson calls for discussion on enhancing impact of NW200

Deputy Mayor Councillor Darryl Wilson has called for discussion on enhancing the impact the North West 200 has upon the local area.

Speaking at last night’s Leisure & Development Committee Meeting, Cllr Wilson proposed the following : “That Council discuss the option of enhancing the impact that the NW200 has on the entire Borough by liaising with NW200 organisers / Chambers of Commerce / local businesses / Tourism NI with the aim of increasing the tourism and financial impact that the event has on all Towns within the Borough.”

The proposal was carried and will be discussed further at Full Council later this month.
