Councillor Darryl Wilson has commended the local biking fraternity for turning out in force to the Malachi Mitchell Thomas tribute run.

Cllr Wilson said; “Today at midday hundreds of bikes and spectators turned out for the Malachi Mitchell Thomas tribute run. Hundreds of bikes assembled at the NW200 pits area before a police escort led them on a lap of the world famous NW20O circuit.

“The run was a fitting tribute to the young English man who tragically lost his life at this year’s NW200 . Malachi has certainly left a lasting impact on us all here in the Causeway Coast and Glens, our local biking fraternity should be commended for showing their support to Malachi’s family who were in attendance today.”

Proceeds from today’s run went towards the NI Air Ambulance fund.
