Ulster Unionist Councillor Darryl Wilson has welcomed news that Firmus Energy is to reduce its domestic and business natural gas tariffs in the ten towns in which it operates – including Ballymoney, Limavady and Coleraine – by 5%.
Councillor Wilson said:
“This is good news for many families and businesses in the Ballymoney, Coleraine and Limavady areas. It goes without saying that in the current economic climate any price reductions are to be welcomed.
“This reduction should mean annual savings of around £29 for an average domestic customer and will apply to both domestic and business tariffs from 1 October 2015.
“I am pleased that it offers some relief to hard pressed householders and businesses and hope it is the first sign that local energy prices are finally moving in a downward direction.”
