Wilson welcomes news of Royal Visit to Causeway Coast & Glens

Ulster Unionist Cllr Darryl Wilson has welcomed the news that Her Majesty the Queen is set to visit the Causeway Coast and Glens.

The Queen will make the trip this week, visiting parts of Counties Antrim and Londonderry.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh are to visit Coleraine, Portrush and Bushmills.

The Royal Couple will unveil a statue of Robert Quigg VC in Bushmills as well as a commemorative stone.

Later, the Queen and Prince Philip will set off from Coleraine on a steam train to unveil a plaque, marking the official opening of the new Bellarena Rail Station before they leave Northern Ireland.

The visit to Northern Ireland is part of the sovereign’s 90th birthday celebrations
