1 Mins read

NIFRS responded to a report of a fire yesterday at a detached house at Woodcroft Brae, Ballymena.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two jets to extinguish the blaze. A woman in her 50s was rescued from the house by FRS.

Crews used two Microvents and a FPOS kit to administer oxygen therapy to the casualty for severe smoke inhalation at the scene.

She was transported to hospital for further treatment. Fire crews from Ballymena, Antrim and Kilrea stations attended the incident.
