Saturday 4th September sees the return of the ever-popular Clydesdale show.
As a result of the current Covid 19 restrictions, it will however be held on a reduced scale to maintain social distancing regulations. Unfortunately, there will be no trade stalls or fast-food outlets on site.
The Clydesdale show will operate, as usual, from the show field, Coleraine Road, Garvagh and a separate Vintage tractor run will run alongside this event but at a separate location, commencing from Bridge Street Carpark.
Judging of the Clydesdales will commence at 11 am with a full range of classes including in-hand showing, riding, and driving classes, and their will be an opportunity for young handlers to show and develop their skills.
The tractor road run will be in a similar vein to last year but with a varied route taking the cavalcade from Garvagh to Lisachrin, Boveedy, Kilrea, Moneydig, Aghadowey and back to Garvagh. A picnic lunch will be included with a stop along the route.
All proceeds will again be donated to much needed local health care. A minimum donation of £10 would be appreciated for both events and there will be an opportunity to purchase the Club’s DVD on the day.
The day will close with The Grand Parade taking place at approximately 3pm along the Main Street, coinciding with the return of the tractors at approximately 3.30 pm. There will be no street collection but there will be an opportunity to donate at either location, where admission is free.
We are always thankful for the support the club receives from the participants and the public and once again we would be grateful for your continued support this year, albeit on a much-reduced scale.
