A new play park located at Roe Mill Playing Fields designed for children of all abilities will be officially opened in Limavady later today.
The play park was built on the success of the Diversity Park at Flowerfield in Portstewart. It opened in 2016, bringing fully accessible play to the Borough for the first time with wheelchair-friendly equipment and a range of sensory attractions.
Councillor Aaron Callan said "This is a great day for the young children and families of Limavady and the wider area.
"This project has been long in the making and great efforts came from all Councillors, council officers, and the contractor to get to the official opening today.
"It is very pleasing that a young Paralympian athlete from the local area, Sally Brown, is going to officially open the playpark today. I hope the community enjoys this facility for many years to come."
