More than 4 million people will be tuning into images of the Causeway Coast this week, on BBC’s hugely popular The One Show. Matt Baker and Alex Jones will be presenting their special ‘Big Causeway Crawl’ – making their way along the Causeway Coastal Route from Carrickfergus to the Giant’s Causeway, stopping off at Cushendall, Ballycastle and Portrush along the way.

Throughout this week, the show will highlight the spectacular beauty of the Causeway Coast, as well as the many things to do in the area. The chance to showcase the beautiful coastal landscape to such a huge audience is a fantastic opportunity for tourism and the news has been welcomed by Tourism Ireland.

Julie Wakely, Tourism Ireland’s Head of Great Britain, said: “We are delighted that The One Show is coming to the Causeway Coast for a week of live programmes – it’s the kind of publicity that money simply could not buy and a superb way to highlight the spectacular coastal scenery to millions of people across GB, positioning the Causeway Coast and Northern Ireland as a highly desirable place to visit.”
