Aghadowey Man Denies Breaching Violent Offences Prevention Order

An Aghadowey man who denies breaching a Violent Offences Prevention Order has been granted bail subject to an address being approved by police.

Gary Woods (29), of Clarehill Park, is accused of ‘entering into a relationship with an adult female without verifiable disclosure as to the nature of your offending being made by your Designated Risk Manager and Social Services’ on dates in June and July this year.

He second charge alleges the defendant used an unapproved mobile phone ‘to progress a relationship, without verifiable disclosure, with a vulnerable female’.

Woods appeared at Coleraine Magistrates Court on Monday November 12 via video link from prison where he has been on remand.

The defendant is set to contest the charges on November 23.
