Air Ambulance Attending Incident At North West 200 Paddock

Emergency services are currently attending an incident at the International North West 200 Paddock in Portstewart.

NIAS despatched emergency crews to the scene. The Charity Air Ambulance was also dispatched to the incident.

It is understood that the incident involved a team crew member falling from the tailgate of a lorry with a heavy box landing on top of him.

The patient sustained fracture injuries and is being transferred to Causeway Hospital by road ambulance.

The road is now open.
