All Is Tickey-Boo For Carrick-A-Rede’s New Online Booking System

The National Trust is delighted to have launched a new online booking system for Carrick-a-Rede, meaning for the first time visitors can book their timed-tickets online before they visit.

Each year Carrick-a-Rede welcomes higher visitor numbers than the year before to the Causeway Coast attraction. Following this increase, last year a timed ticketing system was introduced where visitors could secure a ticket by visiting the site. But the new online booking system offers an even better service than before, as visitors can now book their tickets online up to four months in advance of their visit.

Matthew McMullan, Operations Manager at Carrick-a-Rede said: “We’re really delighted to see the new booking system up and running as it allows visitors to better plan their day so that they can make the most of their trip, exploring all this special site and the beautiful North Coast has to offer. Now visitors can have the time to visit Carrick-a-Rede as well as other ‘hidden gems’ in the North Coast including White Park Bay and Downhill Demesne with its stunning Mussenden Temple.

As a conservation charity we are committed to preserving and protecting our special places and spaces for everyone to enjoy. This includes protecting ongoing conservation, managing health and safety and minimising social, economic and environmental impacts. With visitor numbers on the rise, the new online booking system helps us to better manage visitor numbers for each day, reduce long waiting times, queues and traffic congestion in car parks during peak times.

Visitors can purchase tickets to secure their slot to enjoy the exhilarating rope bridge experience by booking a crossing time from 9.30am onwards each day, spending as long as they want taking in the breath-taking views and wonderful wildlife. The new system is supporting our commitment to delivering a sustainable tourism offering as well as helping to provide an overall better visitor experience.
